The ALH Human Centered Design Toolkit was created by the Amsterdam Law Hub to support our students and partners in developing legal solutions. We consistently use this method, originally developed at Stanford University, which has now been widely and successfully applied in the legal sector.

The ALH Human Centered Design Toolkit includes various steps that must be followed to develop a new service, supplemented with various assignments and examples. This toolkit was made possible by an innovation grant from the UvA Teaching & Learning Centres (TLC) and also serves as a guide for our Justice Entrepreneurship course. However, the toolkit is accessible to everyone and free to use.

Goal

The objective of the ALH Human Centered Design Toolkit is to assist students, staff, and partners of the Law Hub in designing new socially relevant legal services and products.

Activities

The development phase of the toolkit is now complete. It is not updated regularly, but remains relevant and available to our students, researchers, and partners.

Impact numbers

The toolkit has now been used by over 100 Justice Entrepreneurship students at the UvA.
