Thousands of refugee children are socially disadvantaged and in need of guidance. Through education we can offer them a chance at a brighter future. Edu-Help connects passionate university students wanting to volunteer with refugee centers. Within this program, students can teach refugee children in their native language, helping them to integrate faster within society.

How they work

At Edu Help we recruit students from universities such as University of Amsterdam or Hogeschool van Amsterdam. The initial phase of the program is the training where students get a better insight into what to expect during volunteering with the help of a therapist and of staff from the refugee center. This will be followed by the second phase where students start volunteering where they help the little ones with their homework in school subjects such as Mathematics, English, or Dutch.
